It is possible that their mother was the daughter of a Brodie chieftain. William James Snodgrass moved to London (possibly Denmark Hill) where he married Mary Ann Taylor (chr. 13 Feb 1862, St. Marylebone All Souls?). They had at least 4 children, one being Herbert, who was born 1893. He was the grandfather of a friend of mine now living in Inverness, Scotland. William James Snodgrass, his wife Mary Ann Snodgrass, and his sister Agnes Brodie Snodgrass eventually moved to Galleywood near Chelmsford in Essex.
